Dynamical gauge fields for phonons in an optomechanical system

We demonstrate a synthetic gauge field for phonon transport in a nano-optomechanical platform. Employing time-modulated radiation pressure forces, we evidence nonreciprocal nanomechanical phase transfer. We show how this enables new classes of phononic topological insulators.
